Case Study
Air France
Automating the document check process with TravelDoc
Challenge
More and more passengers are using electronic channels to book their tickets and check-in for their journeys, meaning they are either bypassing the document checks or can’t complete the full check-in online as they must visit the counter at the airport to finish verifying their travel documents.
Solution
Adding TravelDoc to Air France – KLM’s e-channels gave passengers more control over their travel experience, while providing more information and improving efficiency at the same time. By integrating TravelDoc into the DCS, the airline’s agents can verify instantly from the same screen if passengers are ‘OK’ or ‘NOT OK’ to fly. Requirements such as passports, visa and health regulations are instantly checked against a reliable database, providing agents with the most up-to-date passenger status. It also means faster check-in processes and a definite reduction in immigration fines.
