Providing passengers with destination relevant COVID regulations
Challenge
The COVID-19 pandemic raised new challenges that created new priorities for the automation within and beyond the e-channels. Air France – KLM wanted to offer to its passengers an aggregated overview of Covid-related travel requirements per destination that will show relevant travel options. Instant clarity on actual travel restrictions (and the level of impact on the journey) prior to booking will prevent the customer to be dissatisfied throughout the booking process.
Solution
ICTS Europe Systems’ development team has already created an info page covering all the COVID-19 related health rules. To solve the challenge, the web page has been turned into an easy and flexible API solution, whose deployment is controlled fully by the airline. The API gives a general overview of the necessary actions in the following 8 categories per destinations: masks, Covid-19 tests, quarantines, passenger locator forms, health forms, authorisations, vaccinations and insurances.
